The eternal wisdom of God #6: What shall I wear?

The eternal wisdom of God #6: What shall I wear?

This is an ongoing series designed to share the wisdom of God with you. If the Bible is to be considered legitimate, we should be able to read it and say to ourselves “Wow, this is so insightful it must be the eternal wisdom of the divine creator”. The guidance must be so amazing that it could not simply have been written by some loin-clothed bronze-age lunatic, it can only be the word of God.

Considering that God is all-powerful and all-knowing, he seems to take an interest in some very mundane matters. This is reflected in the slightly strange laws he has given us.

When chosing clothes, be sure that they are not composed of wool and linen (such as cotton for example).

“..neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee.”
Leviticus 19:19

“Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woolen and linen together.”
Deuteronomy 22:11

What I don’t understand is why God takes such a strong stance here yet fails to condemn Burberry baseball caps? Does this mean that God is a chav?
